the current state of affairs does not exist.
because as soon as you attempt to describe or explain it... your new awareness and perspective changes it.

A chaotic collection of writing exercises.
scattered starz paint twilight all over the place
including those laugh lines on your face.
but copyright will always remain loyal
to the writers who brought the words to a boil.

current's where we're going and where we've been...
not just an indicator of how fast we're going now.
life's a river, from trickle to calm, it's a great ride somewhere in between.
I read what you wrote and came to the conclusion that a river is never the same twice. That and a couple of times, I remember being upside down and soaked in parts of the umpqua that would change enough to punish complacency in the two or three weeks between float trips.
the current between us sizzles and pops as I reach out to close the short circuit and melt, the smell of hot plastic and hot something-else-that-starts-with-p tangy and dangerous in the room.
P.S. Nice one with the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle there, Liz. It's one of my favorites.
